DCC Softball Sweep Up Two More Utah Recruits

Dawson Community College Softball is on a roll with their recruiting.  This time around they have signed two more athletes from the state of Utah. Head Coach Jim LeProwse is pleased to announce the signing of Tia Washington and Laci Leishman from Ridgeline High School in Millville, Utah.

Tia Washington is a Pitcher/Utility player, who hits the ball well to all fields.  Coach LeProwse adds, “Tia is a very athletic player.  She comes from an outstanding softball program in Utah and is coached by Mike Anderson at Ridgeline. Through the years, and every single player that we have had from Ridgeline, has been outstanding.  I see Tia also being on the list of great players from that area and I look forward to her doing great things here at Dawson.”

Laci Leishman is a middle infielder.  She also hits the ball well to all fields.  Laci has very quick hands and very quick feet.  She has very good arm strength and has a great glove. Coach LeProwse additionally comments, “We have had a lot of players from coach Mike Anderson’s programs through the years and every single one of them have been outstanding players at Dawson.  I see Laci being another one on the list of great players from that area as well.”

LeProwse continued, “They will fit very well into our system here at Dawson.  Both are great additions from the state of Utah for our DCC Softball Program.”
