Dawson Community College freshman pitcher Shelby Martin, from Helena Capital High School, received the NJCAA 2019 Region XIII Tournament MVP. Shelby was 2-0 in the region tournament pitching and 6-11 at the plate. Coach LeProwse said “I am extremely proud of Shelby for earning this award. She had a great regional tournament.”
Martin and the Lady Bucs will be hosting the District Championship Series in Glendive on Wednesday, May 15th with a doubleheader at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm and then Game 3 if necessary will be on Thursday, May 16th at 12:00 noon.
The winner of the series will automatically qualify for nationals in Clinton, Mississippi.
