In their last set of games in Arizona, Dawson Community College Softball fell to Glendale Community College after sixth inning score in their first game. Thursday's game against Glendale Community College was a heartbreaker for Dawson, as they lost the lead late in an 8-6 defeat. The game was tied at six with Glendale battling in the bottom of the sixth when Bgarano singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Dawson collected 12 hits and Glendale had 13 in the high-scoring affair. Lady Buccaneers opened up scoring in the second inning when an error scored one run for Dawson. Dawson put up three runs in the fourth inning. The Lady Bucs big bats in the inning were led by by Sidra Montoya, a fielder's choice by Katelyn Teixeira, and a double by Hailee Gregerson.
Fazceleste got the start for Glendale College. She lasted four innings, allowing ten hits and six runs while striking out one and walking one. Jayden Draper started the game for Dawson. She lasted five and a third innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out three and walking zero. Gregerson threw two-thirds of an inning in relief. Dawson totaled 12 hits in the game. Katelyn Teixeira, Reannon Justice, and Anna Snyder all managed multiple hits for Lady Bucs. Katelyn Teixeira led Dawson with three hits in four at bats.
Glendale scattered 13 hits in the game. Young, Mason, Bgarano, and Olibaurria each collected multiple hits for Glendale. Young went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Glendale Community College in hits.
