Donterious Perry, of Conroe, Texas has committed to run cross country and track for Dawson Community College.  He brings experience in both sports, and holds personal best times of 18:31.96 (5k) for cross country, 52.92 for 400 meters, and 2:09.41 for 800 meters. 

Donterious had this to say about joining the Buccaneers, “I chose Dawson Community College for the great opportunity to continue my running career as a collegiate athlete, and also for the opportunities it offers in academics. I have ran cross country all through junior high and all four years of high school, and the experience has been great. I am looking forward to joining my teammates this fall to train and prepare for competition.” 

Coach Ben Sandy is excited to have Donterious joining the team, “I believe Donterious can become an outstanding collegiate runner.  Since he has ran cross country since junior high, this shows me his level of dedication to a tough sport and also shows he enjoys running.  I am looking forward to helping him reach his running goals and helping him grow as a student, athlete, and person.”
