DCC Hosting Post-Season Regional Tournament for 1st Time Ever

In a long successful history with over 60 years of basketball at Dawson Community College, the Buccaneers will be hosting the Post-season Regional Tournament for the first time ever.  The 2020 NJCAA Division 1 Region XIII Tournament will be at DCC Thursday through Saturday, February 27-29th.  The participating teams will be Dawson Community College, Miles Community College, Williston State College, Bismarck State College, Lake Region State College and North Dakota State College of Science.

There will be two quarterfinal games on Thursday night.  At 5:30 pm #4 Seed Williston State College will be taking on #5 Seed Bismarck State College.  In the late game at 7:30 pm, #3 Seed Miles Community College will battle with #6 Seed Lake Region State College.

The top two seeds get a bye into the semifinals on Friday night.  In the first game at 5:30 pm, #1 Seed Dawson Community College will play the winner of the 7:30 pm game the previous night.  In the second game at 7:30 pm, the #2 Seed North Dakota State College of Science will play the winner of the 5:30 game from the previous night. On Saturday at 6:00 pm, the winners of the two semifinals will meet in the Region Championship game.  

The Regional Champion will represent Region XIII in the District Championship which will be hosted by the winner of Region XI in Iowa. The winner of the District Championship gets an automatic birth in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas March 16-21. 

Tickets are General Admission and sold at the games on a per day basis as follows: $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for students.  Children under the age of 5 are free.  Season passes, Bucs Club passes and Gold Cards cannot be used for post-season competition.
