Bucs Basketball Signs Utah Standout

Dawson Community College Basketball Coach Joe Peterson announced the signing of Roulervee Vann from Granger High School in Utah.  As a point guard, he led Class 6A in scoring and steals as a senior, averaging 22 points per game and 3 steals per game.  Vann also pulled down 6 rebounds per game and dished out 6 assists a game.  He was a Second Team All-State selection and led his team to the state tournament.  His season high was 42 points against Kearns which was a Granger High School record.  He also had 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in that game.

Vann explained his decision to become a Buccaneer, “I chose to sign at Dawson because I wanted to bring my game to the next level and I knew that the coaches believed in me.”

Dawson Coach Joe Peterson was happy about his latest signing, “Roul helps fill three areas we were trying to improve this off-season: scoring, finishing and ball-handling. He put up big numbers playing in the highest classification in Utah which has really good players and good teams.  He is versatile enough to influence a game in many different ways and will fit in well with our guys who are returning.”

Vann will be joining a Buccaneer team that won 20 games last year and will be returning most of their players.
