DCC’s Finn Earns Heartland Conference Play of the Week Honors

Brent Finn from Big Timber, MT was selected as the Player of the Week in the Heartland Conference.  The Heartland is one of the best NCAA Division II leagues in the country.  Finn graduated from Sweet Grass County High School in 2016 and spent the next two years at Dawson Community College where he led the Bucs to a 24-8 record as a sophomore and was named First Team All-Conference and All-Region.  This year he is the 2nd leading scorer for the Texas A&M International University Dustdevils and the 9th leading scorer in the conference, averaging over 13 points per game and shooting over 41% from the 3-point line.

He led the Dustdevils to their fourth straight win over Lubbock Christian University at home.  Finn was on fire shooting 9-16 from the field, 5-11 from the 3-point line and 11-15 from the free throw line.  He finished the game with 34 points which is his career high and the most in any game by a Dustdevil this season.   This is the first time he has been selected as Player of the Week in the conference.
