Coach Pollock had this to say "Certainly not the way we hoped to start out our conference schedule. We just are not playing good baseball in all facets of the game right now. We are just giving up way too many unearned runs to beat the top level teams in our league. We need to bring much more passion, desire and want to, on the defensive side of the ball to get the results we seek. I believe consistency is the hallmark of success and we need to be much more consistent day in and day out. On a positive note, I believe our pitching staff turned the corner this week as they pitched their butts off for us. Through a quarter of conference play the staff leads the Mon-Dak conference in E.R.A. When you can pitch you always give yourself a chance to turn things around, we still have a lot of schedule in front of us to hit our stride."
