DCC freshman outfielder, Matt Strizich, will be continuing his college baseball career at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon next fall.  Concordia is a NCAA DII institution and a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.  The 5’11 freshman played his high school baseball at The Dalles High School in the The Dalles, Oregon, located in the Columbia Gorge.

DCC Head Coach Chris Lewis said, “We are really happy for Matt because Concordia was at the top of his list from day one and it is pretty neat that he has the opportunity to return to Oregon and be a couple hours from home.  He is the definition of a program guy; plays hard all the time, is very coachable with a big desire to constantly improve his game and takes care of the classroom as he was selected a 2017-18 Mon-Dak Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete.  He is going to a solid program with a great coaching staff and we are thrilled he got this opportunity.”
