Bucs RHP Pearson signs with Waldorf for ’18 season.

Mackenzie Pearson (Gold Coast, AUS) has signed to pitch for Waldorf University (IA) for the upcoming spring season.  The native Australian initially attended Miles Community College before transferring to DCC last summer.   Bucs pitching coach Eric Kline wasn’t surprised by the announcement, “He was an impact arm with good stuff and figured to be a big part of the pitching staff for us this spring. He was getting interest from a few different places when Waldorf gave him a great opportunity to move on sooner than we expected.  Moving guys on to four year programs is a main focal point and objective of this program.  I couldn’t be happier for him.  This is a win-win for Mac and Waldorf University.”  Waldorf University is in Forest City, Iowa and competes in the North Star Athletic Conference, an NAIA affiliated collegiate athletic conference.  Pearson will begin his Waldorf career when they open their 2018 season February 17th in Joplin, Missouri.
