DCC Baseball freshman, Joey Hagen, a right handed pitcher from Novia Scotia, Canada has signed his National Letter of Intent with NCAA DII, Salem University in West Virginia.

Hagen threw 28.1 innings with a team leading 29 strikeouts, which was good for a 9.21 K/9.  Head Coach Chris Lewis had this to say about Joey, “Hagen is a great young man, very mature and a great work ethic.  We expected him to be a back end arm for us to close games after the fall.  He got a start on the spring break trip and was lights out for us.  He ran into a little shoulder impingement in the middle of the season, but as we expected, he competed through it.  Joey is going to have a bright future at the next level and we are excited to follow his career.”
