DCC’s Final Home Games before Christmas Break

There are a couple more chances to see the Bucs and Lady Bucs basketball Teams before their Christmas Break.  The 12-3 Bucs will be playing Stone Child College on Thursday night at 6:00 pm.  The 9-6 Lady Bucs will play Stone Child College on Friday night at 5:30 pm. 

The final action of December will be a 12:00 noon showdown on Saturday between the Buccaneers and the #11 ranked team in the country, Gillette College.   Gillette is the two-time defending Region IX Champions.  Two years ago they finished in the top 8 at Nationals and last year they finished in the top 16 at Nationals.  This year they have returned almost their entire roster from last year and have started the year 12-0 and are once again the prohibitive favorites in Region IX. 

The DCC Athletic Department will be holding a canned food drive at the games this week.  All non-perishable food items donated will be used to benefit the Dawson County Food Bank.  They are asking fans to bring any non-perishable food items to help the Food Bank bless those who are in need during the holiday season.
